Job Description:
*Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and general upkeep of firearms and other weaponry including cleaning guns, checking for wear and tear, and ensuring that all parts are in good working order.
*Responsible for the safe handling, storage, and use of all firearms and weaponry
*. Provides training or guidance on the proper and safe use of weapons to users.
*Conducts regular inspection of weapons to ensure they meet safety standards and are functioning correctly.
*This involves disassembling and reassembling firearms, testing firing mechanisms, and checking ammunition compatibility.
*Conducts regular inventories to track the status, quantity, and condition of all equipment, ensuring that everything is accounted for, and discrepancies are addressed promptly.
*Conducts repairs following manufacturers specifications.
*Maintains detailed records of all inspections, maintenance, repairs, and inventory adjustments.
*Maintains relevant training and certifications.
*Evaluates the condition and relevance of current equipment to identify items that may need upgrading or disposal.
*Responsible for all weapon and range equipment related to storage, maintenance, and transportation comply with relevant safety
Degree(s)/Years of Experience:
(2 +BA/BS or 1+MA/MS) or (4 +AA) or (6+No Degree).
Certification(s):
None
Experience:
*Hands-on experience in managing and maintaining a wide range of small arms and associated equipment.
*Experienced in the technical aspects of firearm mechanics and knowledge of safety regulations and federal firearms laws.
*Completed advanced armorer courses from leading firearm manufacturers such as Glock and Smith & Wesson.
*Experience conducting detailed inspections, troubleshooting malfunctions, and performing precise repairs and modifications.
*Ability to maintain the highest standards of armory operations, improved maintenance protocols and inventory management systems enhancing operational efficiency and safety.
